The following divisions will be offered with champion and reserve champion to be awarded in each.  Class specifications and restrictions are as follows:

  • Beginner Rider walk-trot and walk-trot-canter classes are open to riders in their first two years of showing.  Classes will be split if entries warrant. No cross entry between walk-trot and walk-trot-canter divisions.
  • Short Stirrup Hunter is open to riders 12 years of age and under.  Riders may only compete in Short Stirrup for two show seasons. The rider cannot cross-enter into classes with fence heights above 2'3.
  • JR/AM MASTERS/PRO - Anyone who has shown in A-rated or non-rated shows for the past five years!
  • LEVEL .5 JUMPERS - 2'6" Clear Round = Blue Ribbon
  • Pre-Green Pony/Horse - Horses and ponies in their first year of showing - may cross enter into other divisions
  • Green Pony/Horse - Horse and ponies in their first two years  of showing - may cross enter into other divisions

Rules & Regulations:

  1. Riders must wear regulation headgear and hard-soled shoes while mounted.  All junior must wear properly fitting protective headgear with harness secured and properly fitted while riding in the designated schooling and exercise areas, the show ring and while jumping anywhere on the show grounds.  The US Equestrian Federation requires all junior to wear protective headgear passing current applicable ASTM standards with harness secured.  It is the responsibility of the rider, or the parent or guardian or trainer of the junior rider to see to it that the headgear worn complies with appropriately safety standards and is properly fitted and in good condition.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
  2. Alderwood show points will be awarded. As this is a non-rated show, no USEF or WTHJA points will be awarded.
  3. Stalls are available at a cost of $60.00. Stalls will be assigned! Please call ahead for reservations or check in at the office before using any stall.
  4. Shavings will be available on the grounds for $7 per bag.
  5. Schooling is allowed Friday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Saturday  morning until 7:30 a.m. 
  6. A medic fee of $5 will be assessed for each entry.  Medic is on the grounds only during show and scheduled schooling times.
  7. A grounds fee of $25.00 will be added to each horse not using a stall.  Please mark this on your entry.
  8. You must be a current member of WTHJA or pay a non-member fee of $10.
  9. Non-showing horses must check in at the office and pay a non-showing fee of $10 if you wish to school.  A current coggins test must be shown in the secretary's office prior to schooling.
  10. Office Hours:
    Friday from 1:00p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until end of show
     
  11. The office will not split horse stalls.  A $25.00 fee will be charged for all horses not purchasing a stall, i.e. every entry will either have a stall fee or a grounds fee.
